Bespoke coaching qualification to create engaging coaching strategies.

The level 2 coaching qualification is predominantly focused on roles whose remit is to engage people in physical activity and sport to bring about change within a local community. 

Designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver sessions that engage a wide range of individuals in physical activity and sport. The course will develop engagement techniques and strategies to help the coach formulate programmes and activities that can assist change.

By developing your ability to work in partnership with other agencies the course via its unique approach will provide individuals with the confidence to help local communities change their behaviours and adopt a more physically active lifestyle.

What do I need?

  • Level 1 English and Maths (or the willingness to gain this qualification)
  • In employment for 30 hours or more per week
  • Availability to do 6 hours a week learning

How will I be assessed?

There will be 4 assessment methods required to pass the course:

  • Panel Interview
  • Presentation with Questions and Answers
  • Practical coaching observation

How will I learn?

  • By a blend of online, face to face and on the job learning
  • Utilising cutting edge app technology to track and support your learning every step of the way
  • Utilising practical mentored experiences linked with the support of audio, visual and written content to suit your own personalised approach to learning

Length and cost?

  • The course is 14 months in duration
  • Free if you are eligible to access your employer’s levy
  • £300 +VAT available to all employees via the co-funded route
