Overview
We are looking to appoint a qualified freelance exercise and fitness tutor and assessor with experience of delivering within the further education sector on a freelance basis. This role will involve delivery and assessment on a range of qualifications aimed primarily at health & fitness, including (but not limited to):
- Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing
- Level 3 Personal Training
- Level 2 Coaching Strength & Conditioning for Sport
The role requires an organised and driven individual with a passion for quality education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a real enthusiasm to develop learners to the highest level within further education with access to leading practitioners for personal career development.
Your qualifications and experience
Essential
- PGCE, Certificate or Diploma in Education or equivalent
- Industry Certificates in Gym / Fitness Instruction / Coaching
- Fitness Industry experience
- Teaching experience within the Further Education Sector
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding results in education
Desirable
- QTS
- Assessor Qualification
- Level 3 Personal Training Qualification
- Industry experience in sports coaching
You will have a track record in
- Delivering Sports & Active Leisure qualifications within further education
- Marking, Assessment and learner feedback procedures
- Building meaningful and positive working relationships with students and peers
Key Responsibilities for this role
- Course delivery and assessment of sport & fitness qualifications
- Regular tracking and monitoring of student progression
- Completion of Learner Progress Assessments
